Our department was formed in 1962 by a group of concerned citizens. With the roots of volunteerism deep in Spanish Fort, we rely heavily on neighbors helping neighbors. We currently have 50 members; operate 3 stations and 13 pieces of equipment. We are primarily funded by community donations, countywide ad valorem tax and contract services with the city of Spanish Fort.
